Bad Poetry: Ode to a Notebook

My second heart beats excited lines of graphite
Into the manifold of my notebook lungs.
Breathe the quick'ning oxygen of sudden-thought,
Transferred by absorbant page
And capillarous scrawl
To words,
And thence returned to brain!

I love my Moleskine!

  • It's a...notebook! A triumph of marketing over matter, shurely?

  • Yes, but it feels kinda robust in the hands, the paper is good quality, it has a secret pocket, a ribbon bookmark, and an elastic strap to bind it shut.

Stop being so realistic, and enjoy the romanticism of writing. Dammit.
